5 Tips to Create Your Destiny

Did you know that if you hold a thought for 17 seconds a similar thought matches? Are you aware that as you are thinking you are creating every situation in your life? Did you know that what you believe actually helps to form how every situation will turn out for you?  Have you ever stopped to think about what you are thinking about?  I know it may sound crazy at first but it is true.  Your thoughts are actually creating your very existence.  Problem is most of us are just reacting to every situation without realizing that we actually have control over what we think and believe.  Our minds are so conditions by media and past experiences that we have forgotten that we hold the keys to our own destiny.  It is only when we can make a conscious decision to change our thinking that we will see our life changes before our eyes.

There are hundreds of thousands of thoughts running through your mind every day.  The average person is only aware of about 10 to 20 percent of them.  That is a lot of mindless chatter going on in your own mind and you don’t even know it. What can you do to start to change what you think and believe?  The first step is to become aware of what you think and believe.  Once you become aware then you can start to transform your life.   Here are a few simple steps to help you to start to become aware of what you are thinking and to change those thoughts

1.  Meditate

meditating helps to quiet your mind and therefore quiet your thoughts.  Try to make it a practice to take time to meditate everyday even if it is only for a few minutes.  I little bit can go a long way when it comes to meditating.

2.  Affirmations

If you notice that you are thinking negative thoughts it would be beneficial to try some affirmations.  Affirmations are simply positive statement that you can think or say.

3.  Breath:

Taking a deep breath can help to calm your mind and helps to stop a rampage of negative thoughts.

4. Observe:

Learn to become an observer of your thoughts. Don’t judge your thoughts simply notice them and see what triggers negative thinking for you.

5. Appreciate: 

This is powerful! Take time every day and find things to appreciate.  I like to start my day by finding 10 things I appreciate.  It sets the energy and mood for the day and gets my day started in a positive direction.

Changing your life really can be as simple as changing your mind. Make it an intention not to participate it negative conversations. This is a good way to help you become aware of the things you are thinking about. Try to find something you are appreciating in every situation.  Holding a positive thought for 17 seconds will help to draw more positive thoughts.
